The American-Israeli cybersecurity expert company Check Point launched its report on cyber attacks during the first quarter of 2023, where the main threats and trends in cybersecurity were analyzed.<\/p>

Among what the study found, Check Point highlights the resurgence of old attacks that first appeared in 2017 and 2018, which use the USB ports of computers, as well as an increase in the popularity of phishing for theft. of identities.\u00a0<\/p>

Attacks remain constantly on the rise throughout the world, being one of the biggest concerns for companies and states.   • The education\/research sector faced the highest number of attacks, increasing to an average of 2,507 attacks per organization per week, representing an increase of 15 1TP3Q compared to the first quarter of 2022.<\/p><\/li>

  • The APAC region (Asia Pacific that includes China, Taiwan, South Korea, Australia among other countries in the area) experienced the largest year-on-year increase in weekly attacks, with an average of 1,835 attacks per organization, an increase of 16 1Q3Q .<\/p><\/li>

  • 1 in 31 organizations worldwide suffer a ransomware attack every week.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
